Summary: VES is looking for a Logistics Manager to join our team in our Dubai, United Arab Emirates location. The role supports the operation of VES in the region by implementing and running best in class logistics and distribution solutions across the region in the areas of warehousing, transportation, and customs. This position is responsible for the VES Logistics team in MENA, as well as the management if the LLP that supports our operation in the region. This position requires a team player with strong communication skills, ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment, and logistics working experience in oil and gas industry.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
Other duties may be assigned.

  • Develop the distribution model in MENA and the warehouse In the Dubai FTZ, implementing storage solutions, flows and processes.
  • Monitor the import and export process of products and ensure compliance with regulatory, legal and customs requirements.
  • Develop and run the regional transportation network (air, road, ocean and express).
  • Develop SOP, KPI’s and metrics and monitor performance of LLP.
  • Proactively monitor end to end performance, quality, and cost to meet and exceed targets.
  • Liaise and negotiate with logistics providers, perform RFQ’s, develop carrier’s integration and perform QBR’s.
  • Contribute to the overall growth strategy of the organization by continuously identifying key areas for improvement.
  • Forecast, budget and control logistics costs and perform analyses and projections to support business decisions.
  • Execute domestic and international shipments as needed, with include preparation of shipping documents in our ERP system.


Education and/or Experience:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or equivalent; and 7-10 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of international logistics, customs and trade compliance. Understanding of common industry metrics such as cubic meters, revenue tons, metric tons, rudimentary export compliance, hazardous material quantities per conveyance, etc.
  • Typically, at least 5 years international logistics and customs and trade compliance experience. Experience with ERP (SAP) and logistics-related applications (e.g. WMS / TMS systems).
  • Oil & gas industry experience preferred.
