Job Description:

• Administer and maintain multiple PostgreSQL 10/11 and later, as well as Oracle 12c/19c production and test databases in Linux environments.
• Ensure the availability, performance, recovery and security of the databases
• Install, configure & optimize new production databases using multi-tenant feature.
• Support disaster recovery activities
• Perform specific SQL Solutions development for maintenance & monitoring
• Develop data requirements for application/inter-application test plans and test scenarios; verify test results.
• Maintain documentation
• Work with application support groups to resolve system issues.
• Research and evaluate new and emerging technologies to improve enterprise processes.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives
• Experience in application development
• Provide on-call support
• Learn and understand ITIL frameworks
• Collaborate with the Application development team
• Establish and maintain a support environment based on Customer Service to respond to customer requests and incident reports; determine underlying causes to reduce incident report levels
• Ensure records and archives are maintained to support business requirements, such as backup schedules

Skills & Qualifications:
 Must have at least a Software Engineer degree (preferably M.Sc.) or equivalent.

 At least then 5 years of professional experience with at least the 3 last years in equivalent position and in relation with industrial environment.

 Experience in a PostgreSQL Database 10/11 in HA with Hot Standby, EFM and PEM

 Experience in an Oracle Database 12c/19c in a RAC, ASM, Multi-Tenant and Data Guard environment

 Proven experience supporting 24×7 mission critical production databases

 Experienced in Linux shell scripting and other DBA specific Linux skills

 Proficient troubleshooting and problem solving skills

 Experience with Backup and Recovery (BART, Hot Standby, RMAN, Data Guard).  Works on and completes multiple tasks at one time, meets deadlines, and self-recognizes and adapts to priorities that change often.

 Must be a team-player and thrive in an environment that promotes strong individual skills that are easily applied to the goals of the team and company

 Excellent interpersonal skills, innovative and good influencing skills

 Very good communication skills

 Familiar with enterprise solutions environments, development and tools.

 PostgreSQL and/or Oracle Certification is a plus
