Educational Qualification

• ITI / DIPLOMA in Mechanical

Experience

• Minimum 6-8 years in engineering maintenance in the Chemical or FMCG Industry

Core Skills

1. Awareness of work-related shop floor, Chemical hazard use of adequate PPEs and permit to work system.

2. Hands-on experience in engineering maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of plant Mechanical Equipment and machinery like

• Semi-automatic liquid and powder filling machines (for Conipail, jerrycan & bottles).
• Bottle Capping and lid pressing /crimping machines for conipail/containers.
• Semi-automatic Labeling machine and inkjet printers
• Electro-mechanical equipment – motor, gearbox, Pump(with mechanical seal & gland) blower fan, conveyor belt, slat conveyor, screw feeder, Electrical and pneumatic Hoist, agitator /mixer, dust collectors, Batch Mixers, Pneumatic Transporter, etc
• Pneumatics- Pneumatic cylinder, control valves, Butterfly/Ball valves with pneumatic actuators, and position feedback unit
• Hydraulic Power packs, cylinders, and lifting devices, (Chain Hoist, Pneumatic Hoist, Rope Hoist)
• Piping- Metal piping, Plastic piping, valves, flanges, PRV, flowmeter

3. Adequate knowledge and ability to read and interpret P&ID, equipment drawing, SLD, control drawings, layout, sketches, operations, and maintenance manual etc.

4. Experience in doing the periodic inspection and preventive maintenance as per the defined checklist and schedule

5. Breakdown maintenance and knowledge of spare part management e.g. maintaining equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies;

6. Good analytical skills and problem-solving capability.

7. Knowledge and usage of tools and tackles, test and measurement instrument.

8. Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts; using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.

9. Capability of suggesting improvement initiatives to reduce breakdown, improve safety, reduction of rejects/ waste, energy and cost-saving etc.

10. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

11. Actively participates in rebuilds/overhauls

12. Computer Literacy will be added advantage. 13. Language: Fair written and spoken English
