What are my responsibilities?

• Supporting sales, system design, and engineering with simulation-based analyses during all projects from the tender phase to site acceptance test for the green field as well as for brownfield projects.
• Review of contractual requirements related to the area of expertise during the sales and engineering stages of the design.
• Statistical data analysis and working with complex simulation models for system evaluation.
• Identification and implementation of optimization potential during the planning and execution of the system design.
• Further development and documentation of Simulation models and supporting software tools.
• Maintenance, validation, and verification of existing simulation models.
• Support with the definition of internal and external system acceptance tests and with the analysis and evaluation of site acceptance tests.

What do I need to qualify for the role?

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or similar technical background.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the field of material flow simulation.
• Programming experience and expert knowledge in at least one programming language (such as C++, Java, C#, or Python).
• Experience with simulation tools for material flow simulation (preferably AutoMod, Demo3D, Plant Simulation, or FlexSim).
• Microsoft Office (specifically Excel knowledge is mandatory).
• Knowledge of SQL-based databases and AutoCAD is a plus.
• Knowledge of processes within material flow systems, e.g., in airports (baggage handling systems, cargo systems), is a plus.
• Outstanding communication (verbal & written) skills in English.
• Analytical, sharp at problem diagnosis.
• Structured and methodical approach to work.
• Engaged Team player, who can also work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Demonstrate any key situations where you have positively influenced the system design and subsequent contract award.
• Flexible working approach and capability to manage own workload, a team player who can also train others and share knowledge.
• Ability and willingness to travel (for training or customer visits) both domestically and internationally if required.
