Position Summary:
The Area Sales Manager serves as a primary leader for Sales of ITT IP Product Lines within a defined Area/Region, reporting to the Regional Sales Director

Essential Responsibilities:
Tactical Leadership:
- Provide daily technical and commercial support to Customers and manage Sales performance to acquire OE Parts & Service orders with significant focus on new business development and maximizing added value by orders from new and existing customers.
- Drive marketing and opportunity recognition by identification of markets and segments to apply a set of ITT IP product lines . Regularly engage in Customer presentations to promote the value and adoption for the assigned Area and ITT IP Product Lines, either virtually or in face-to-face visits in a concerted manner with the Regional & Product Sales Leads.
- Provide commercial, technical, supply chain and financial leadership for baseline and project opportunities to drive sustainable, profitable growth.
- Responsibly analyze customer specifications and serve markets with Proposals acc. to IP 500 by use of a structured PSF process and operational excellence.
- Support organization, visit and attend relevant industry exhibitions and fairs.
- Support Product Sales Managers & Regional Sales Director in developing growth playbooks for the assigned Sales Areas and Products.
- Monitor, analyze and report performances of Distribution and Agents as driver to markets, develop and support sales channels and distributor networks.
- Additional duties as been instructed by Management.
Sales Oversight:
- Support development and maintenance of annual “Sales Plan” for the assigned ITT IP Product Lines and Sales Areas including portfolio analysis and implementation of action plans targeted to maximize revenue and improve order profitability.
- Responsibly collaborate with Regional & Product Sales Leads to develop order forecasting, performance and forecast reviews.
- Support actively annual media planning and ITT IPs presence and attention to exhibitions within the Sales Areas.
Market Analysis:
- Support analysis on sales & market trends, customer needs, and competitive intelligence.
- Maintain a strong understanding of ITT’s markets, customer processes & applications and competitive offerings.
Collaborative Leadership:
- Assist Order Handling and/or Project Management in the interpretation, clarification, and execution of Customer orders.
- Support Product Engineering and/or Product Management in the interpretations of Customer specifications to fully meet Customer‘s requirements for the application of the product.
- Provide direct mentoring of Bid Management & Procurement to develop stronger and broader support for the assigned Sales Area and Product Lines.
