ERC International Recruitment & Executive Search Hiring for Senior Manager – Insurance Domain at Dubai Full Time

JOB TITLE: Senior Manager/Director- Insurance Domain

Location: Dubai, UAE

DIRECT REPORTS: General Manager

JOB PURPOSE: To Assist GM in all Technical Aspects and achieve profitability for the company.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/OUTPUT EXPECTED

1. All LOBs underwriting and claims.
2. Delegate and monitor authorities given, approve policies and ensure underwriting guidelines are followed.
3. Assist the General Manager in all types of corporate accounts.
4. Review treaty arrangements, and conduct treaty negotiations.
5. Establish and maintain good relations with existing and prospective Reinsurers/Reinsurance Brokers.
6. Underwrite inward facultative reinsurance from the GCC markets from selected insurance companies and brokers in line.
7. Assist the GM in the preparation of annual budget, monitor and evaluate the budget with the results and remedial mean situation demands.
8. Active involvement in preparation of marketing strategies to secure healthy and steady growth of business and monitor goals and objectives.
9. Monitor the work of departmental heads to ensure that all requests for quotations, claims, surveys, recoveries of claims in accordance with the policy conditions and standards procedures.
10. Maintain update information on market developments, gather market intelligence reports and provide feedback to the management.
11. Monitor and evaluate profitability, efficiency and productivity of the departments as well as individual staff and take appropriate action to rectify negative situation.
12. Visit and maintain contacts with brokers, clients, GCC business producers and Reinsurers in consultation with the GM
13. Conduct monthly meeting with department head and staff as agreed with the management.
14. Report cases above own authority for approval of the GM.
15. Achieve improvement in profitability and efficiency of the reinsurance function by continuously reviewing the company capacity and the best practice in the international insurance industry.
16. Develop new insurance products in coordination with sales.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

Have more than 35 years of experience working with various insurance companies. Technical Qualifications, Academic and Professional qualifications in the field of Insurance/Legal/Management.

KEY STAKEHOLDERS – INTERNAL & EXTERNAL

Internal: All Technical, Sales & operation team.

External: Brokers, Surveyors, Clients and all customers of Insurance company.
