We are looking for a competent Public Relations Manager (PR Manager) to lead our PR initiatives and take on full responsibility for the strategy, collaboration, execution and measurement of PR & Media Relations Campaigns, with the goal of building and enhancing a favourable image of our company with potential candidates, clients, potential customers, influencers and the public.

Responsibilities

• Develop DFreight’s PR plan including strategy, goals, budget and tactics.
• Develop media relations strategy, seeking high-level placements in print, broadcast and online media.
• Coordinate and manage all public relations activities ensuring taking leverage of industry events, summits etc to maximise DFreight’s presence and visibility.
• Direct the Digital Marketing team to engage audiences across traditional and new media.
• Leverage existing media relationships and cultivate new contacts within business and industry media.
• Manage all media initiatives including events, inquiries, webinars, interview requests etc
• Manage all press releases including content creation, press releases, byline articles, keynote presentations etc
• Plan and budget for PR events, programs and initiatives.
• Monitor, analyze and communicate PR results on a periodic basis.
• Evaluate opportunities for partnerships, sponsorships and advertising on an on-going basis.
• Build relationships with thought leaders to grow industry awareness.
• Maintain a keen understanding of industry trends affecting clients and make appropriate recommendations regarding communication strategy surrounding them

Requirements

• BA/MA degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications or a related discipline
• Minimum 4-5 years’ PR experience working in communications, corporate communications (in-house, in government, media company or at a PR agency).
• A proven track record of successful PR campaigns
• Proven track record designing and executing successful public relations campaigns at both a local and national level
• Strong relationships with both local and national business and industry media outlets
• Experience in acting as a company spokesperson; comfortable and skilled in both broadcast and print media interviews
• Exceptional writing and editing skills
• Event planning experience
