The role of Finance Director is to lead across three key areas of financial planning, analysis and reporting in the CEMEA region:
Be a recognized Subject Matter Expert, Finance partner and deals reviewer for Strategic Partnership Agreements across CEMEA markets Drive in-depth analysis and optimization of VAS products management and delivery practices in the Core and VIK lines of business Lead the financial analysis and evaluation of public and private company acquisitions, joint ventures, minority investments, and other strategic initiatives
The role is reporting to CEMEA Sr. Director, Product Finance, and working closely with Solutions and Strategy teams in the 86+ markets of CEMEA. Product is the global function responsible to deliver Visa’s products and solutions portfolio (Core Products, Strategic Partnerships, Processing, Innovation and Digital).
The Finance Director is expected to create and maintain the following: high engagement with stakeholders, adequate tools for business decision support, and reliable financial reports and analyses. This role is also responsible for supporting the development and delivery of the Budget, Forecasts and Market Strategy Overview for the Product Function. The successful candidate will benefit from payments industry familiarity, proven strategic thinking, a solid background in financial and general business analysis, and demonstrated experience collaborating with various functions and presenting to senior management.
Key Responsibilities
WHAT FACTORS
Manage the following Finance responsibilities for each Fintech / non-traditional deal from deal inception to contract signing, including:
Reviewing the deal modelling, ensuring they fit Visa and Client expectations, are aligned with the budget and meet all procedural criteria
Co-leading fintech approval and execution pipelines with Digital Partnerships team, and providing incentive forecasts to CIO/Finance teams
Conducting complex financial analysis / forecasting aimed at ensuring deals are commercially viable and focused on driving revenue growth
Advising on financial deal structures which are compelling to clients while safeguarding Visa’s investment and driving growth objectives
Communication of financial risks to management decision makers, and ensuring compliance with Visa’s governance
Drives recurring monthly value-added analysis: Fintech’s VIK tracking, Fintech deals pipeline, and developing an annual Fintech’s P&L
Ensuring approved financial terms are accurately reflected in final contracts
Challenges assumptions (client’s current portfolios, projected growth, and clarification of client asks) to drive best-possible deal constructs
Drive analysis of Products VAS across CEMEA, including:
Evaluating performance and growth potential of existing and new products, and enablement strategy to support increase of VAS sales
Helping to identify and bridge gaps in cross-portfolio VAS enablement across the Product organization, and tapping into VIK funding
Working with product teams to assess validity of new VAS sales opportunities
Lead aspects of equity investment transactions including:
Valuation, due diligence, strategic analysis, financial analysis, and modeling / deal structuring
Coordinating cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to evaluate opportunities
Developing financials for the Ventures and M&A Committee that outlines key assumptions, business drives and Visa’s valuation view
Establishes and maintains relationships with a broad base of key stakeholders, and serves as a key point of contact for her/his areas of responsibility
Acquires and maintains an understanding of the strategies, priorities and issues of the teams supported
Proactively communicates business implications observed from analysis and contributes ideas and solutions to business challenges / problems
Proactively identifies and leads opportunities for process improvements and simplification
Leads ad-hoc analysis and contributes to functional projects as needed to support business needs

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
