Senior Credit Risk Analyst

We are looking for a Senior Credit Risk Analyst to join our client, an integrated energy trading firm focused on oil. As a Senior Credit Risk Analyst, you will play a key role in identifying, analyzing, and mitigating credit risks associated with our trading activities.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct credit analysis of counterparties including banks, traders, and brokers to assess creditworthiness.
• Develop and implement credit risk policies and procedures in line with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
• Work closely with traders, risk managers, and other stakeholders to identify and evaluate credit risks associated with trading activities.
• Assess credit limits and exposure limits for counterparties based on credit analysis and market conditions.
• Monitor credit limits and exposure levels and take appropriate actions to mitigate credit risk.
• Work with internal teams and external counterparties to resolve credit-related issues.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and regulatory developments related to credit risk management.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in credit risk analysis, preferably in the energy trading industry.
• Strong understanding of credit risk management practices and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make informed decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with internal teams and external counterparties.
• Fluency in English is essential, Arabic language proficiency is a plus.
• Knowledge of oil trading and oil market dynamics is preferred.
• Experience with credit risk management software and tools is a plus.
