Job Purpose: Job Purpose Manage Emirates leisure sales channel by defining the medium term business strategies, aligning sales channels and customer segments, develop tools and products in order to increase the channel contribution. Ensure that the strategy is translated into measureable channel objectives, supported by robust strategies which will provide the central leisure sales team and the global sales force good strategic direction. Work in close co-operation with the SVP CO’s in order to ensure that the channel objectives are met while respecting the point of sales objectives. Job Accountabilities – Develop medium term leisure channel objectives and strategies, translate them into annual, measureable objectives and ensure that they are implemented across the whole commercial organisation. Define objectives and strategies for each of the agent segments in order to maximize yield contribution taking respective market conditions into consideration. – Define the global channel strategies, in conjunction with SVP Global Sales, for Online Travel Agents (OTA’s) and ensure that these strategies are implemented network wide. Manage the relationships and development of the global key OTA’s. – Evaluate potential special markets segments (e.g. cruise, student) and define strategies and tools in order to increase Emirates position within these segments. Manage global key account management of selected key partners and ensure that the special markets strategies are deployed on a network-wide level. – Identify special markets (e.g. medical, religious), evaluate potential and develop strategies and products to develop the respective special markets network-wide. – Drive the global and/or pan-national incentive and marketing budgets for selected accounts. Ensure that the funds are invested in order to get maximum return by selecting the right activities / periods / routes. – Manage relationships with all internal stakeholders (SVP CO’s, Pricing, YM, Corporate Communications, local sales organizations) in order to ensure that objectives and strategies are understood and implemented across all markets. Special focus must be given on the relationship with the SVP CO’s and the local sales organizations since there will be joint revenue responsibility in the form of hybrid budgets. – Identify customer requirements and needs and negotiate with the various internal stakeholders (Call Centre, Sales Steering & Support, Corporate Communications, etc.) to define product and service standards in order to best service the various customer segments. – Define channel KPI’s and ensure that they are measureable through the various commercial management information systems. Report on them on a regular basis to both internal and external stakeholders and provide high level recommendations. – Provide leadership to the global sales force and account management teams to enable the efficient development of the leisure sales channel. – Develop and manage products and procedures in collaboration with SVP Commercial ensuring that these are branded and marketed across the network and through all channels. Keep on top of industry developments and ensure that Emirates is always ready to react to trends and capitalize on new opportunities. Recommend to management the optimum incentive and promotions schemes and ensure that they generate maximum return on investment.

Qualifications & Experience: Experience Commercial/Sales.Other: 10+ Years Qualifications Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent) Knowledge/Skills Preferably in the Airline or travel industry, with experience in strategy development and implementation. Experience of the sales environment of the airline industry, including an understanding of the internet, direct sales, leisure segmentation & marketing and process development.
