The Job Opportunity
The Enterprise Architect is responsible for driving the design and definition activities to create compelling, competitive and compliant solutions and capabilities to meet the needs of our internal and external customers. This is across Serco ME division and sectors from Defence, Health, Citizen Services and Transport, in areas ranging from Asset Management, Facilities management, Contact Centre, hospital management and many more, therefore adaptability and mental agility in switching gears, subject matters and differing customer needs is an essential skill. A large part of our customers are government agencies, across UAE and KSA, therefore a keen understanding of regional demands and a desire to improve the experience in service delivery will be a key focus.
The Enterprise Architect will pull together and work with subject matter experts from across our sales, bidding and operational delivery teams, and must have the presence and soft skills to handle robust opinions in a collaborative and professional manner
Key accountabilities
Facilitates and participates in Solution brainstorming workshops to identify options and direction that solution will take
Lead the creation of governing principles and associated infrastructure, technology and security standards, to support effective solution decision making across the enterprise
Act as an escalation point for junior team members and as a subject matter expert for the technology aspects of the solutions developed
Lead the Technology Solutions, Infrastructure Management Services and Application Services team comprising of Network Infrastructure Manager, Systems Infrastructure Manager and TEB Applications Lead, ensuring the team is appropriately resourced and skilled to deliver on their responsibilities
Ensure all risks related to Technology Solutions, Infrastructure Management Services and Application Services are recorded, maintained, and mitigated for all contracts within the region
Evaluate current infrastructure performance, identifying opportunities for improvements to the way infrastructure and technology services are delivered internally and to customers

Ability to understand the business requirements and converting them into solution designs
Must demonstrate good judgment and pragmatic approach to delivering solutions that optimizes architecture activities across company needs, business constraints and technological realities
Very good consulting and teamwork skills.
Very good communication skills and the ability to develop and create strong relationships with senior management
Commercial awareness
Strong presentation and communication skills with the ability to develop and create strong relationships with senior management
Specific requirements
Ideally trained and certified in Enterprise Architecture
Proven experience in infrastructure and technology such as data centres, storage and compute environments, Microsoft technologies, telecommunications and mobile
Enterprise solution development and bid solution development experience
Knowledge and awareness of Technology systems
Degree holder
