Ramboll are looking for a Young ELV Engineer to join our offices located in Dubai Office. The successful candidate will provide support in design and calculation of Audio – BGM, Public Address, Video distribution, ICT & Security and responsible for collaborating with the other ELV designers (CAD technicians) and consultants within the team.

Ramboll is committed to building our business here in the Middle East and to improve our capture rate for projects in the region. We are taking the next step in this regard with the addition of a new Graduate planner

Specific areas of key responsibility include the following:

• Assist for developing the user experience/interface of the building and the technology overlay.
• Assist the Ramboll ELV team to develop the end-to-end solution. Familiarity with current market trends and enabling technologies in AV/IT & Security.
• Carry out duties in accordance with company procedures and implement prescribed systems of work.
• Follow the company training scheme fulfilling objectives to assist personal development and provide a basis for future progression within the company.
• Awareness in designing ICT, Security and Audio-Visual with control system for large scale facilities such as Hotels, Museums, Auditoriums, Malls and Mixed development project will be an advantage.
• Decent understanding in design and calculation of Audio – BGM, Public Address, Video – Video Walls, Video distribution, Digital signage, Projection and Video/Audio conferencing with related software knowledge will be beneficial.
• Awareness of Design in ICT & Security system – Structured cabling, Active network design, CCTV, Access control, Intrusion detection, Parking management system, Disabled Toilet Alarm, Intercom, Guest Room Management system and Home Automation System will be beneficial.
• Awareness about technical AV/IT & Security related specifications.
• Awareness of Tools and software Exp will be an advantage: Revit MEP, AutoCAD, BIM360, Navisworks

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelors or Diploma degree in Building Services / Electrical and Electronics Engineering

• UAE Nationals preferred

EXPERIENCE:

• Graduate. 1 years’ experience in middle east will be an added advantage.
• Awareness of building services design with different types of sectors, including commercial, residential, etc.
• An ability to adapt to different working styles and the unique business culture of the Middle East.
• Willingness to work within teams on multi-disciplinary projects and interacting with a wide range of architectural, engineering and planning disciplines.

TECHNICAL SKILLS / KNOWLEGDE:

Specific areas of anticipated technical skills include.

• Ability to carry out both manual and computer aided calculations, problem solving, technical and financial analyses, etc.
• Knowledge to use relevant software such as MS Office Suite and ELV engineering specific software will be helpful.
• Awareness of BIM / digitalisation techniques and standards
• Software capability and awareness in AutoCAD. REVIT and Navisworks will be beneficial.
• Knowledge of local and international design standards, TRA, BICSI, ANSI, TIA etc will be beneficial.
• Knowledge of local statutory authorities’ regulations and submission requirements across Middle East, mainly, UAE and KSA will be helpful.
• Awareness of ELV Engineering Principles, BMS, IT, AV and Security design
• Awareness of sustainable design practices and technologies
• Good organisational skills, effective time management, including the ability to deal with the conflicting demands in order to meet deadlines, prioritise heavy workload and have a willingness to work flexibly
• Good analytical skills
• Integrity, and an ability to deal with and recognise confidential and sensitive information as well as work in a professional and customer friendly manner.
