We are seeking a Senior Architect, ideally an Infrastructure SME (with skills in Orchestration and Automation) to deliver cloud transformational outcomes for our customers. Ideally, you will have experience working in a consulting role, leading other architects / engineers to deliver automated, secure and robust cloud infrastructure solutions.
We like people who get involved in all levels of technical discussions, from architecture to hands on coding. We are looking for a strong technical expert, with experience leading world-class teams on complex projects from inception to delivery.
Frequent travel (potentially relocation) to Saudi Arabia will be required.
Arabic language skills will be highly advantageous.
Job Responsibilities Design, implement, and maintain cloud-based solutions that optimize the performance, scalability, and security of our customer’s infrastructure. Your focus will be on developing and implementing efficient orchestration and automation strategies to streamline operations and improve productivity.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into effective cloud-based solutions.
Design and architect scalable and secure cloud infrastructure solutions, with a specific focus on orchestration and automation.
Develop strategies and implement frameworks for efficient orchestration and automation of cloud resources, including provisioning, configuration, and deployment.
Evaluate and recommend suitable cloud orchestration and automation tools, frameworks, and technologies to enhance operational efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
Implement and manage cloud-based infrastructure services, including compute, storage, networking, and security components, utilizing Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) principles.
Create and maintain documentation related to cloud architecture, processes, and procedures.
Collaborate with development teams to ensure applications are designed with cloud-friendly principles and can effectively leverage orchestration and automation capabilities.
Monitor and optimize cloud resource utilization, performance, and costs.
Identify potential risks and implement appropriate measures to ensure data security, compliance, and disaster recovery.
Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in cloud computing, orchestration, and automation.
Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Cloud Architect, Cloud Engineer, or a similar role, with a focus on orchestration and automation.
Strong knowledge of Private Cloud computing concepts, principles, and architectures (OpenStack, VMWare, etc.)
Extensive experience with orchestration and automation tools and frameworks such as Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, etc.
Solid understanding of Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) principles and experience with related tools (e.g., CloudFormation, ARM Templates, etc.).
Proficient in scripting and programming languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
Familiarity with DevOps methodologies and practices, including Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD).
