Job Description
- Maintaining positive relationships with vendors of direct travel, such as car rentals, hotels, and airlines.
- Negotiating preferred rates with vendors/suppliers.
- Managing direct employees’ day-to-day issues and their requirements.
- Approving operations’ requirements.
- Managing team of staff who are into planning travel accommodations, booking flights, hotels, car rentals, and coordinating activities.
- Approving all travel-related documentation, including payments, itineraries, visas, medical, and legal forms.
- Analyzing, discussing, and deciding on any travel/business-related issues that may arise.
- Researching travel deals and evaluating prices and services.
- Creating, optimizing, and monitoring corporate travel policies that are into B-to-B segments.
- Make sure that the CEOs time is not spent on the routine tasks.
- Reporting directly to the CEO of the business.
Required Skills:
- A bachelor’s degree in business or tourism or travel or hospitality is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years experience as a General Manager and 10 years of overall experience in the Travel and Tourism industry.
- Certification in travel or hospitality could be an advantage.
- Knowledge of travel management processes.
- The ability to build and maintain positive relationships with vendors and clients (existing relationships may be advantageous).
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
- A basic understanding of Geography.
- Strong computer skills.
