Job Summary

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Accounting Assistant to join our team! In this role we are looking for someone who understands accounting, knows the nature of assets and liabilities as well as the income statements accounts.

What You’ll Be Doing

Parsons is currently seeking an exceptionally skilled Accounting Assistant to join our team. In this role, we are seeking an individual with a comprehensive understanding of accounting, including the nuances of assets, liabilities, and income statement accounts.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare, process, and post monthly journal entries.
• Complete intercompany confirmation and prepaid amortization schedules.
• Record and reconcile intercompany cost transactions across entities.
• Perform bank reconciliations.
• Conduct detailed monthly analysis of account reconciliations.
• Create monthly reporting schedules and perform account analysis.
• Calculate employee final settlements.
• Execute ad-hoc assignments and other duties relevant to this role as necessary.

Required Qualifications:

• Hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Possess a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience, including expertise in final settlements and general accounting.
• Exhibit a strong grasp of accounting principles and concepts.
• Ideally, have experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) financial systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Display a keen attention to detail and a highly analytical mindset.
• Demonstrate a strong sense of ownership.
• Be self-directed, capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.”

• Perform ad-hoc assignments and other responsibilities associated with this position as deemed appropriate.

What Required Skills You’ll Bring

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of related work experience in final settlements and general accounting etc.
• Strong understanding of accounting concepts and principles
• Experience with Enterprise resource planning financial system is desired
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and highly analytical.
• Strong sense of ownership.
• Self-directed, and able to work well independently and collaboratively in a team.
• Excellent verbal and oral communication skills.
