Job Purpose:

• The role holder is responsible for leading the employee relations, operations and policy function that serves as the primary human capital advisory channel for all business units with respect to employee related matters and implementation of policies. The role holder is also responsible for driving employee engagement and execution of engagement plans for the company through carrying out organization-wide initiatives.

Experience :

• 10 years’ experience in Human Resources, working as an HR Generalist or in Employee Relations

Technical Competencies

• Excellent knowledge of UAE Labor Law(minimum 5-6 years of UAE Experience)

Education Qualification:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field
• CIPD or other Professional HR Certification is preferred

Roles & Responsibilities:

Employee Relations:

• Keep abreast about the new government rules, regulation, guidelines, and laws in order to provide recommendations for policy enhancement and lead and manage the process of standardizing and updating HC policies, processes and procedures
• Provide advice to key stakeholders/ line managers on disciplinary cases, conducting investigations, collecting evidence, interpreting labor and immigration laws, providing clarifications/explanations to the Business Unit and guiding line managers in the understanding of legal and practical implications of different options/solutions.
• Monitor grievances cases and provide suggestions on how to handle such cases, preparing and filing formal records of the incident and ensuring execution of disciplinary measures. Ensure that grievance handling and disciplinary proceedings are carried out in line with company policy and country legislation
• Ensure the ER function follows the DOA guidelines in all its processes, procedures and documents and obtains necessary approvals.
• Oversees key activities related to promotions, transfers within and across entities, employee exits, disciplinary issues, employee grievances etc. and ensure the ER team provides required support to the Line Managers and employees during these processes.
• Manage timely resolution of all Employee relations issues escalated by ensuring good internal customer relationships are established through efficient provision of services.
• Oversee and manage the preparation of any critical presentations, memos, exception reports etc., to be submitted to the senior management or to relevant committees for necessary approvals while ensuring accuracy, timelines and quality of information.
• Lead and manage ER awareness sessions for Employees and ensure clear communication of HC policies, key processes and procedures that impact employees across the organization. Responsible for communication of any changes in HC policies and educating employees about such changes.

• Lead the HC operations function to achieve efficient and high-quality employee services covering aspects such as visa services, letters, and document issue, joining and exit associated logistical and administrative support, employee file management, HRMS updates and record maintenance.
• Lead initiatives and projects to enhance HR systems and processes; improve efficiency through enhanced self-service and online workflows and oversee the implementation of new HC systems and software.
• Define and standardize the HC services processes and procedures, work instructions and ensure relevant procedures are reviewed and amended as required based on changes of legislation and company policies.
• Oversee the HRMS systems: identifying and leading enhancements and automations to improve overall efficiency and service delivery.

• Oversee the design and implementation of the engagement and communication plan with clear timelines to support roll out of all HC related initiatives while managing the process and roles and responsibilities with external stakeholders.
• Oversee the design and development of a recognition framework in timely manner and ensure effective communication of all award categories.
• Manage and support the external vendor in the annual engagement survey to be used to measure total organization engagement, or key areas as and when required.
• Manage, and oversee the planning and implementation of organizational events like Annual Gathering and Celebrations to mark special events etc.

• Manage other tasks and special projects as assigned by the Chief of Human Capital and drive them to completion.
• Work in close collaboration with all the teams within the Human Capital department to ensure that all relevant organizational initiatives and updates, departmental information and relevant employee information are regularly updated and shared across the various HCD team.
• Support all the internal HCD teams to help them achieve their overall objectives related to talent acquisition, talent development and talent retention. This may include support with respect to recruitment, performance management, training and development, addressing employee grievances, employee services and support, job movements, promotions and recognition plans

• Provide leadership within the function, setting individual objectives, managing performance, developing and motivating staff, provision of formal and informal feedback and appraisal – in order to maximize subordinate and departmental performance in the pursuit of the Department’s objectives.
