Job Title: Stores Assistant

Department: Stores

Reporting to: Stores Keeper/ Production Manager

Job Purpose:

To assist in the movement (receipt and dispatch) of all materials coming in and out of the company, and as required by Production department.

Job Description:

· Store finished product for loading.

· Load finished product onto truck.

· Unload raw materials from truck.

· Maintaining inventory of all supplies and making note of damaged goods etc.

· Safely transfer material from receiving area to the stores or dispensing locations and ensure proper stock rotation.

· Responsible for operation of forklifts and other warehouse machinery and equipment.

· Maintaining count of all warehouse inventories and reporting discrepancies to the Stores Keeper.

· Conducting regular checks and maintenance functions of all the warehouse machinery like forklifts etc.

· Following safety procedures in the warehouse.

· Efficiently completing all activities delegated by the Stores Keeper.

· Maintaining tidiness and cleanliness standards of the stores.

· Performing all duties assigned by the Store keeper.

· Should be physically fit and have the ability to lift heavy materials.

· Should be flexible.

· Should be a team player and have the ability to coordinate with fellow workers.

· Ability to carry out written and oral instructions.

Skills, Knowledge, Experience Required

· Should be compliant with all safety regulation and the ability to use warehouse machinery.

· Should possess the capability of following orders and completing the same in the assigned time.

· Willingness to work a flexible schedule to accommodate heavy work volumes.

· Must be able to perform required repetitive lifting tasks and have prior experience in forklift operation.

· Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills required.

· Should be organised, methodical and have excellent attention to details.

· Previous warehouse experience would be desirable.

Functional Competencies Required

· Must be capable of determining the loading and off loading pattern based on the priority of the customer deliveries.

· Ability to handle all inbound and outbound goods and materials of the stores.
