Job Purpose:

Will be responsible for effective research, installation/configuration, operation and maintenance of various software and related infrastructure.

Job Description:

· Installing, configuring & upgrading the database and ensuring that the server is adequately backed up.

· Providing technical insights to the team in the area of your expertise.

· Refining and fine-tuning database queries/ stores procedures etc.

· Identifying possible improvement opportunities in processes and standards

· Perform day-to-day maintenance on the ERP system, as well as installing new upgrades and testing for bugs.

· Map the organization’s business needs to the ERP work flows and coordinate with software vendors to find optimal solutions. Optimize ERP for easy use, and train employees in its functions.

· May at times be asked to do designing, coding and testing of modules and components assigned.

Attributes required:

· Candidate must also possess above average analytical and problem-solving abilities. Be professional, detail oriented and organized.

· Ability to carry out instructions independently.

Skills, knowledge and Experience required:

· A Diploma/ Degree in Computer Science or a related field.

· Minimum 2 years’ relevant work experience on SQL database. 2-5 years is preferable.

· Must have good communication skills for collaboration with internal customers to understand their needs and document the processes.

· Must be well versed in SQL, particularly the Microsoft SQL server with the ability to develop reports based on requirements, programming SQL queries to pull data, and working with internal stakeholders to define reporting needs.

· Experience with reporting tools like Crystal Reports.

· Proficient in Excel and being able to create pivot tables, review data sets, provide analytical recommendations, and develop macros.

· Experience with Power BI is a plus.
