• Develop, manage and monitor and report on the HSE performance of the company to relevant stakeholders as/when required.
• Devising, implementing and ensuring the HSE Management System is established, understood, implemented, maintained and continuously improved.
• Monitor and advise on all HSE matters, issues and concerns to ensure company compliance with statutory requirements, contractual requirements and good industry practices.
• Liaise clients and other departments, regarding HSE matters, ensuring expectations are met.
• Responsible for the development and compliance of the company’s existing practices, processes and procedures with respect to ISO 45001 and 14001 standards.
• Conduct audits, inspections and checks to evaluate the effectiveness of systems and procedures and to identify and assist in implementing improvements
• Manage and monitor HSE resources required for projects in coordination with project teams and support units.
• Develop and execute project work plans, risk assessments, emergency plans and relevant HSE documentation and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
• Proactive in managing HSE issues and raising Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), adequately monitoring and actively engaging to resolve concerns and ensure they are closed effectively on time.
• Lead and initiate and encourage innovation and continuous process improvement
• Lead investigations of HSE accidents/incidents/near misses, follow up and and producing useful reports to help guide improvements and verifying that corrective actions are effective.
• Resolve and/or escalate issues in a timely manner.
• Develop and arrange HSE training courses, using internal and external resources when required.
• Maintain awareness of evolving industry HSE regulations and best practice and how they could be applied to the Company’s operations.
• Ensure that all suppliers and subcontractors’ quality systems and plans are effective, acceptable and in accordance with our company policies and are regularly inspected and assessed.
• Ensure necessary guidance and input is provided to all employees for improvement to attain ISO standards.
• Lead and initiate and encourage innovation and continuous process improvement
• Carry out HSE document control, recording & transmitting information.
• Act as Subject Matter Expert for HSE matters.
• Assisting in QA-QC activities where required in compliance with the companies ISO 9001 standards.
• Support the Head of QHSE where applicable.

• HSE Manager with minimum 5 years’ experience in the field of construction (especially for museum and exhibition projects) in the United Arab Emirates.
• Bachelor’s degree in environmental, health and safety and/or engineering.
• Experience and knowledge of the following ISO standards, 9001:2015, 14001:2015 and 45001:2018 is essential.
• UAE experience is essential.
• Valid UAE driving license.
• ISO Lead Auditor certification is a plus
• Excellent knowledge and experience in managing and implementing HSE Management Systems
• Strong leadership skills with a proactive “hands-on” approach in implementing processes and to drive improvement.
• Capability to liaise and participate in regular meetings with the Client / Client’s Representative as applicable.
• Consistently acknowledges and appreciates team member’s contributions.
• Provides constructive criticism and challenges practices which are unsafe or not to the company standards.
• Self-motivated, works on their own initiative and confident when speaking to key stakeholders.
• Mitigates team conflict and communications openly to resolve problems.
• Motivational, negotiation and people skills – so that you can work others to implement and maintain comprehensive and effective policies and procedures.
• Excellent communication skills – Proficient in spoken and written English language – so that you can explain HSE processes to a range of people and to give presentations to groups.
• Computer skills – excellent proficiency in MS Office
• Flexible to travel based off project requirements
• Ability to maintain company integrity through confidentiality and discretion.
