National Oilwell Varco Hiring for Buyer/Expeditor (Order processing, Oil and Gas) Job at Dubai Full Time

Job Summary.

Assist all purchases made and for other activities assigned by management. Collate purchase orders and purchase requisitions in order to source materials, goods and supplies. Carries the responsibility of making sure that all the Purchase orders & Transfer orders are followed up for delivery from the supplier and to make sure that the direct Sales orders are delivered to customers well within the quoted delivery date.

• Inventory – Planning
• Preparation of Expedite reports/open order status
• Follow up orders with Houston (Plant & Suppliers)
• Coordination & follow up with the freight forwarders
• Timely Follow up & Updates
• Timely Reports
• Manage the buying process for a given set of goods in line with specified cost, quality and delivery targets
• Manages and maintains supplier quality in accordance with supplier management procedure
• Collate purchase orders and purchase requisitions in order-to-order materials, goods and supplies
• Knowledge of managing inventory targets including safety stock level
• Follow up with Suppliers regarding delivery and making sure that the quoted delivery is met.
• Updating Customer Representative or requestors within NOV with the current status of individual orders so that they can inform the relevant customers accordingly.
• Running Supplier status report to be sent to Supplier to get update on due and overdue purchase orders.
• Updating Expeditor’s Master Order Spreadsheet with the current status.
• Running Customer status reports (SO report) and providing updates.
• Assist Buyers in preparation of orders when required.
• Awareness of Expediting & Purchasing Procedures.
• Providing relevant shipping instructions to the freight forwarders.
• Coordinating with Freight Forwarders for shipment status & expedite the clearance and delivery of shipments.
• Reports Handling, Follow up of required material documents & certificates.
• Regular coordination with shipping team & Sales Team.
• Project Handling Skills.

SKILLS/COMPETENCIES & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Excellent command in English language – both written and spoken
• Ability to effectively correspond independently
• Ability to take decisions
• Proactive and ability to multitask
• Strong Negotiation, communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
• Experience utilizing an ERP system, preferably Glovia/Oracle
• Knowledge about NOV products and services will be an added advantage
• Computer Skills – thorough knowledge of Microsoft word, excel, outlook, etc. with absolute fluency in typing

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION REQUIRED:

(Education/No. of Years of Experience)

Essential:

• Bachelor’s Degree + Any certifications in supply chain/ purchasing will be an added advantage.
• 2-5 years of relevant experience (Purchasing, Expediting, Supply Chain, Inventory management).

Desirable:

• Bachelor’s Degree + Any certifications in supply chain/ purchasing will be an added advantage.
• 2-5 years of relevant experience (Purchasing, Expediting, Supply Chain, Inventory management).
• Oil and Gas or Manufacturing background.
