The Marketing and Communication Manager is responsible for implementing a marketing and communications strategy linking with ME Dubai Hotel objectives. Always ensuring that the brand of the Hotel is consistently reflected in all communication to internal and external customers and a seamless marketing and visual experience is delivered, the Marketing and Communication Manager is responsible for coordinating and structuring the work of the Marketing and PR departments so that the property continues its focus to become a leading Dubai five star hotel and supports its flagship status within the company.

Developing Expertise:

Keeps abreast of newest trends and innovations in the industry and marketing field.

Maintains an awareness of competitor marketing activity and best practices

Thinking & Planning:

Takes a proactive approach to marketing, anticipating potential opportunities.

Understands the changing needs of the business and develops promotions to meet both short term and long term needs

Communicating Expectations:

Sets realistic, measurable marketing standards, objectives and goals (costs, commissions, number of reservations etc) to be achieved and communicates.

Structuring Tasks:

Develops, directs and maintains a best in class marketing strategy/process, to support the business.

Ensures all marketing and hotel collateral is accurate and meets brand guidelines, for example; brochures, photo library, website etc.

Ensuring that the marketing and distribution tools of ME Dubai Hotel effectively develop, support and increase business through maximising use of on-line and off line initiatives.

Develops creative, branded promotional sales tools for the sales team, for example; promotional gifts, presentations etc.

Establishes, maintains and ensures adherence to all Sales and Marketing related policies.

Promotes offline and on-line opportunities to in house guests and ensures all collateral effectively promotes the brand website.

Manages marketing agencies responsible for design and production collateral.

Manages social media and PR.

Develops and recommends an annual plan for the Marketing and Communications department, to include full budget responsibility.

Leading the Team:

Drives the ME brand values and philosophy.

Leads and develops in conjunction with the Heads of Departments, marketing plans for the business.

Building Relationships:

Builds effective working relationships with the hotel’s leadership team and Melia corporate office.

Partners with the group marketing team to maximise the marketing and profile of ME Dubai Hotel and the Group.

Leads the hotel customer relationship marketing activities ensuring they drive retention and incremental business through creative sales and marketing promotions.

Develops and maintains relationships with key partners to maximise joint marketing opportunities.

Focusing on Quality:

Tracks key business indicators (Costs, commissions, number of reservations, revenue) to determine the effectiveness of current systems and processes and identify areas for improvement.

Evaluates the performance of the brand website and updates/improves to ensure impact and business are maximised.

Achieving Results:

Focuses on producing results through encouraging high achievement within the Team
