Job Description
Job Summary: The X-ray technician is responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures using X-ray equipment to assist medical professionals in diagnosing and treating medical conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepares patients for X-ray procedures, including positioning and immobilizing the patient as necessary.
Operates X-ray equipment to produce high-quality images of the body.
Reviews and evaluates images to ensure proper positioning and quality of the images.
Processes images using computer technology and submits results to the radiologist or physician for interpretation.
Maintains equipment and performs routine maintenance and repairs as needed.
Maintains patient records and ensures confidentiality of patient information.
Follows radiation safety protocols and ensures the safety of patients, staff, and self during X-ray procedures.
Assists in the education and training of new staff members and students.
Candidate Requirements
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program.
Current certification and registration with the Dubai Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
Current state licensure.
Basic life support (BLS) certification.
Knowledge of radiology equipment, procedures, and safety protocols.
