ROLE DESCRIPTION

Role Purpose:

The manager will own all aspects of Master Data Management in terms of strategy definition, tool selection / North Star setup & implementation. He/She To define, manage and develop enterprise-wide business-critical technical master data, testing, and the associated systems and business processes. Improve current processes and oversee more complex data collection projects.

The MDM manager will focus on the management of the operational activities around the maintenance of Master Data and providing relevant support to the business teams/ projects as required.

The MDM manager coordinate with multiple Business/Technical stakeholders to deliver some elements of the Transformation roadmap which are relevant to the Master Data function. He/She will be responsible for the setup, configuration, development, and ongoing operation of our existing MDM solutions.

Role Details – Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

• Outlining a vision, strategy, and road map for Master Data Management based on business requirements and developing the case for change to support that vision.
• Assess the existing requirements and solutions, design, develop and implement Master Data Management solutions within complex system landscapes.
• Understand the data, technical, and business architecture strategies and ensure that MDM is compliant and any deviation is documented and subject to the appropriate governance.
• Envisioning the overall solution for defined functional and non-functional requirements, and being able to define technologies, patterns, and frameworks to realize it.
• Define a systems landscape for Master Data Management to connect data flow across all the systems in the organization.
• Ensure a uniform set of accurate master data across all systems.

• Ensure that appropriate governance and controls are in place across data governance, privacy and quality disciplines.
• Responsible for ownership and coordination of Target Operating Model (TOM) changes across MDM.
• Design and build MDM Architecture to support the ERP implementations.
• Responsible for coordinating master data management initiatives across our data product landscape.
• Ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation and continuous improvement of current processes, practices, and people.
• Detailing Design, Developing & Unit Testing MDM configurations as per requirements.
• Providing reports, creating data audits, run validations, and creating rules to ensure the integrity of the master data.
• Work with Business units and process experts to resolve master data issues.
• Ensure data quality, compliance, and consistency of master data across business systems
• Ensure adherence to relevant security controls and data regulatory requirements
• Prepare unit test cases and work with the team during SIT and UAT phase to write and execute test cases on core MDM
• Serves as the single point of contact for internal and external stakeholders for any Master data requirements.

The successful candidate will have deep technical expertise, including familiarity with the latest techniques in building MDM data models, Match rule configuration, Trust setting, Implementation of validation rules, Design low-level workflows, Coordinate with Infra support to resolve bugs

• Experience in integration of MDM tools with middleware.
• Experienced in the analysis and design documentation with an emphasis on MDM-related technology.
• Strong communication skills and experience with change management to help change mindsets and behaviors across the organization

• Highly analytical with a structured problem-solving approach and a strong business acumen.
• Strong ability to communicate complex issues and make highly persuasive, evidence-based arguments.
• Experience in working with contemporary project and design methodologies (Agile/Scrum/Kanban, Domain-Driven Design)

Minimum experience

• 7+ years of professional experience working as a Master Data specialist.
• Must have several years of MDM experience and have worked on large-scale master data management program.
• Deep knowledge and experience with Master Data Models
• Excellent written, verbal, communication, and presentation skills with the ability to articulate new ideas and concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science from a top university
