Depending on workload, employees in this job classification may be required to perform duties of other job classification of equal or lesser pay for which they are qualified within Mechanical C & M
Runs Manual sheet metal machines
Performs cutting and/or shaping metal from raw form into usable parts for Assembly or Aftermarket needs
Process is semi-repetitive utilizing machinery, tooling, and fixtures for set up, and requiring some minor troubleshooting and adjustment to complete assigned tasks
Utilizes equipment and measurement tools to drive part accuracy within print tolerances and minimize Quality Notifications and Scrap
Understands and participates in continuous improvement activities
Use of chop saw
Moving work pieces, tools, and supplies, manually or by hand truck or overhead crane
Plans and develops necessary work processes required to perform the tasks associated with the trade of Metal Fabricator including identifying the appropriate tools, equipment, materials
Performs lay-out and assembly of work in accordance with required dimensions received through sketches, prints, written and/or verbal instructions
