Arabic-English Translator

As part of the MENA brand team in our Dubai Office, you play a key role in translating and localising the written content for our digital and retail channels in Arabic and English.

As a junior translator, you will continuously be looking for new ways to inform, excite and engage the audience. Ensuring you consistently provide great localised and curated Lush written content.

Job Duties:

• Ensuring translated texts conveys original meaning and tone

• Liaise with colleagues to ensure that translations are true to the original meaning.

• Documenting changes to translated materials

• Checking dictionaries (UK dictionaries) and encyclopedias for unknown words

• Management of time to complete documents

• Relay concepts and ideas between languages.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in translation (highly preferred)

• Excellent Arabic skills and awareness of the language structure.

• Excellent proofreading skills with the ability to identify grammar, spelling and punctuation errors

• Knowledge of the translation process, terminology, and localisation techniques

• Familiarity with localization guidelines and standards

• A clear writing style with an impeccable knowledge of spelling and grammar

• Must have prior experience doing translations.

• Ability to work to deadlines

• Superb verbal and written communication skills

• Highly developed attention to detail
