We are currently seeking a Construction P6 Project Scheduler/Planning Engineer to support our ongoing projects. The candidate must have an Engineering background.

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Reporting to the Projects Controls Manager, the Scheduler’s duties include but are not limited to:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Create, monitor, and analyze project schedules in accordance with standard of best project practice and project specification.
• Track, analyze, update, and create reports to allow accurate project evaluation and management weekly
• Ensure accuracy of project schedules and perform version control
• Co-ordinate project schedules, tasks, meeting updates, and efficient distribution of reports
• Familiar with US government contracts and schedules
• Prepare WBS and detail activities using scope of work and drawings and cost loading, budgeting.
• Monitor projects progress, including identifying critical activities and reviewing forecasts and progress achieved to date (after liaising with managers and Site team to discuss the progress of the project and addressing any issues that arise)
• Maintain project risk register (identify, monitor & report all risks and issues) to ensure that risks are effectively managed to minimize their impact on schedule, scope, and budget of projects and work with the project team to ensure resolution
• Track baselines, perform what-if analysis, and develop contingency and recovery plans
• Present information for internal meetings on the project
• Prepare bid schedules in accordance with request for proposal requirements.

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Minimum of 5 years work experience as scheduler in the construction industry as a project scheduler.
• Experience working as Scheduler with USACE, NAVFAC, US Government projects is preferred.
• Proficiency in the use of Primavera P6 scheduling software
• Self-starter without any help
• Ability to learn quickly and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Good analytical and planning skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Good work ethic and ability to treat documents with confidentiality
• Ability to work effectively within a team setting and also to provide Problem solving
