Located near Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, the university’s coastline campus on the Red Sea features high-quality residences, extensive recreational facilities and beach, a multicultural environment, and a high quality of life for employees and their families.Job SummaryDevelop and manage initiatives/programs to support KAUST’s objective of growing the capacity, experience, and competency of Saudi nationals through collaborations with in-Kingdom universities and KAUST partners. Develop and manage programs to strengthen the quality and increase the number of Saudi scientist at KAUST and in the Kingdom.Major Responsibilities· Develop a Saudi academic workforce at & through KAUST.· Develop and run programs such as:· Collaborations with in-Kingdom universities· Access to KAUST partners· Post-doctoral fellowships· Sabbaticals· Saudi Scientist recruitment.· Ensure the effective and efficient management of key initiatives and projects.· Research, assess, recommend and develop new initiatives/projects which will serve to further promote the development of professional talent within KAUST and across the Kingdom.· Develop and manage collaborations with in-Kingdom universities in support of the Department’s objectives.· Work with KAUST partners to provide and coordinate access to Saudi faculty, research scientists, and postdocs.· Develop and manage initiatives for post-doctoral fellowships, sabbaticals, and Saudi scientist recruitment.· Develop and manage key relationships with KAUST organizations such as Economic Development, Research, Gradu Job Category Administration & Secretarial
