Job Description
As a Senior Systems Engineer you provide pre-sales support of Keysight’s Network Test and Visibility Solutions represented via the Network Application Solution Group. You are responsible for the development of professional relationships with key customers, support and management of sales representatives and distribution partners currently engaged with key customers within the CIS countries
Among other tasks, you are specifically focused on the following:
- Assisting channel partners to identify, qualify and close pre-sales opportunities
- Providing thought leadership and working closely with the Regional Sales Manager to coordinate efforts between partners, customer and Ixia
- Ability to lead network architecture discussion and solution design.
- Understanding customer pain points and projects and effectively positioning Ixia Network Visibility and Security solutions to solve those problems
- Planning and conducting onsite and web presentations, demonstrations and proof-of-concepts
- Recognized as technical point of contact and technology/market expert by customer
- Regular customer visits and discovery across the wider CIS countries
- Preparation of test or visibility solutions prior to on-site demonstration, evaluation and POC’s with focus on L2/3 testing solution (virtual and hardware based) such as IxNetwork, CloudPeak, automation frameworks, as well as network visibility solutions used in various network designs.
- Delivering on-site demonstration, evaluation and POC’s, helping with automating these solutions and occasionally executing Professional Services tasks, as well as answering complex RFI’s and RFQ’s and establish BoM
- Acting as Trusted Advisor for customers, designing Test Plans, PoC-plans, for execute related evaluations and assessments
- Maintain constant relationships with the product Marketing teams (Features requests, use cases and product/system applications)
Job Qualifications
- Up to date technical certifications on products like Cisco, AWS, VmWare are desirable
- 7 + years customer facing pre-sales experience or equivalent
- Technically competent in multiple relevant areas of technology such as; Switching & Routing, SDN, MPLS, broadband and Authentication, Automotive and Industrial Ethernet, Datacenter, Virtualization, Cloud
- Knowledge of one or more competitive products and technologies such as Spirent – TestCenter, CloudStress, Gigamon, VSS/NetScout and BigSwitch solutions, as well as solutions from technology partners
- Programming skills using REST, Python, Pearl, Ruby
- Strong understanding of 802.XX, TCP/IP and Layer 4-7 concepts and protocols
- Collaborative and cross-functional style; works with sales, development and marketing teams to aid in growing services business.
Preferred experience
- Enterprise data center network monitoring and troubleshooting tools from Viavi, NetQos, NetScout, Wireshark, CA, Extrahop, Riverbed, etc.
- Network security/intrusion detection equipment; IDS, IPS, NGFW
- Networked enterprise application performance testing
- Real time applications such as VoIP and video
- Lab test equipment specifically traffic generators and protocol analyzers from Spirent, Agilent, Ixia, or BreakingPoint
