About the role

We are seeking an experienced Manager, Learning & Development to join the pre-opening team our ultra- luxury hotel. Manager, Learning & Development will be responsible for designing, developing and implementing of Kerzner and One&Only brand training programs that support the hotel’s pre and post opening objectives and goals.

Role Responsibilities:

• Design and develop training programs for across all departments of the hotel
• Develop and implement pre-opening training schedules inculding but not limited to: onboarding, standard curriculums, systems and trial runs
• Conduct training sessions and evaluate the effectiveness of the programs
• Coordinate with department heads to identify training needs and areas for improvement
• Maintain training records and monitor employee progress
• Ensure compliance with all hotel and industry standards
• Assist with the recruitment process, including interviewing and onboarding new employees
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless guest experience
• Manage the Learning & Development budget

Key Skills and Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business, or a related field
• At least 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a luxury hotel
• Previous experience in a pre-opening hotel would be advantageous
• Strong understanding of training and development practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Learning Management Systems
• Fluency in English, both written and verbal
