Requirements
Role: Informatica Administrator
Strategic responsibilities:
- As an Informatica Administrator, your primary responsibility is administration of the Informatica platform, which includes different products such as
BDM, EDC, EDP, Power Center etc.
- Promotes good administration practices and the management of data as a strategic asset.
- Providing technical support, monitor and identify possible production failure scenarios. (Incident Management),
- Monitor daily SLA that identifies vulnerabilities and opportunities for improvement.
Core responsibilities:
- Configure, manage and troubleshoot Informatica domain, nodes, Service Manager, Application Services and licensing.
- Manage backup and recovery of the domain metadata and appropriate shared file directories
- Users/ Groups Creation, Access Management (Privileges and Permissions)
- Perform daily monitoring.
- Work with the vendors (Informatica IGS and others) on software issues.
- Along with these, there is the day to day administration activities folder creation, configuring DB connections, etc.
- Maintaining high availability of Informatica platform.
- Experience working on servers located in the Linux environment.
- Strong knowledge in EDC Architecture and back-end process of EDC on how the ingestion works, EDC metadata storage, EDC Scanner Configuration
- Strong knowledge in EDP Architecture, Administration and configuration.
- Strong knowledge in EDP integration with Hadoop Ecosystem connecting to Hive as staging, integration of EDP with Apache Zeppelin
- Has capabilities to train business user on EDP utilization
- Good knowledge of Data Warehouse/RDBMS, Big Data querying tools, such as Pig, Hive, and Impala,
- SQL knowledge beneficial
- Experience on Cloud technologies beneficial, like AWS and Azure.
- Ability to participate in 24X7 on-call rotation in the team
- Ability to work independently and effectively communicate within the team and other teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
