Our Global HR team partners with our business leaders to attract, retain, and develop Hilton’s most important asset, our Team Members.

What will I be doing?

The Vice President, HR Operations MEA&T will lead the Property HR function for Team Members across the Middle East, Africa, Turkey region (MEA&T) region within EMEA, partnering with the Area Operations President, Area Vice Presidents of Operations in overseeing Hilton’s dynamic, growing markets. You will be a key change agent responsible for implementing a new level of strategic HR engagement.

You will assess the opportunities within MEA&T to craft and implement strategic HR initiatives across multiple subject areas and functions. You will also be responsible for driving the talent agenda for the region which includes scaling our teams, resources, and aligning processes to meet the significant growth over the next several years.

You will also draw on your experience working with a senior hospitality management team involving multiple brands with hourly front-line employees distributed over a wide geography. While you’ll need experience in all aspects of HR and strong strategic business partnering skills, we’re looking for a strong and innovative leader with a demonstrated ability to lead a world-class team.

• Ensure HR and Talent strategies are implemented to meet the performance needs of each property and overall regional key performance indicators.
• Lead, drive, sponsor our global and regional DEI strategies and ensure the appropriate focus, prioritization and execution are delivered consistently and measurably.
• Partner with key clients to develop first-hand knowledge of clients’ short and long-term business goals and objectives.
• Identify critical focus areas for analysis, development, and implementation of integrated HR solutions that support the clients’ business strategy.
• Advise global clients on all general HR activities, including recruiting, talent management, managing, and exiting, as needed.
• Work and complete projects as directed by SVP HR EMEA.
• Ensure top-level talent is in place with the organization, develop current talent to achieve important strategic goals and performance, and make hard talent decisions as needed.
• Determine staffing needs and supervise the recruiting, selecting, hiring, training, and developing of department Team Members at the hotel level, and enable the right competitive compensation models based on each Team Members’ unique circumstances, including country nationals, ex-pats, and hybrids depending on need.
• Work with direct reports on goals to assist in accomplishing functional department initiatives and their own career objectives.
• Provide direction and leadership to Team Members within the MEA&T Regional HR Operations function, as well as with other COE leaders in region.
• Build focused organizational development plans with business partners including workforce planning, organisationa structure evolution, talent management, performance management, and leadership planning.
• Proactively manage the proper standards of hotel HR in all activities and functions, ensuring the quality of programs and procedures abide by local/country employment, industrial laws, etc.
• Champion all programs that ensure a great place to work for all at MEA&T hotels, including distributed team Member relations programmes globally, as well as those established specifically for the improvement of EMEA and MEA&T’s teams, satisfying the idiosyncrasies of the region.
• Gain and maintain a solid knowledge of General Managers’ scope of talent and succession, as well as MEA&T Regional teams.
• Proactively lead the rollout of HR toolkit items for clients ensuring that all are aware and educated appropriately.

• Ability to build strong stakeholder advisory relationships with key internal clients and partners across the business
• Demonstrable track record working in a client-focused, consultative organization

To fulfill this role successfully, you should demonstrate the following minimum qualifications:

• Eight (8) years working in a leadership role in the hospitality or similar industry
• Seven (7) years spent leading teams
• A minimum of Five (5) years of of senior HR leadership
• Fluent in English, one or more other relevant language desirable

It would be useful in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

• Ten (10) years of Human Resources experience
• BA/BS Bachelor’s Degree in HR or related field
• International business experience in mature as well as emerging markets
• Experience in Learning and Talent Development, knowledge of reward.
• Sound understanding of industrial relations and of employment regulations in core markets.
