What’s the role?

The Materials & Process Manager is responsible for managing the cost-effective spare parts supply set up to support Hilti’s Tools Service Center (TSC) operations with defined spare part availability within the supply area and Regional Distribution Center (RDC).

What does the role involve?

In this role, you will work closely with European teams After Market Services based in Germany to support in material management tasks and support logistics process implementation in Tool Services Centers across Europe. You will manage inventory levels based on historic consumption and market intelligence, steering KPIs of Tool Service Centers to reach the right balance for availability, cost, and net working capital.

You will be accountable for the spare part set up in all Spare Parts Regional Distribution Centers, Tool Service Centers and Market Organizations within the supply area. Furthermore, you will delivery sustainable efficiency within Hilti’s Material Management team within the supply area.

As the Materials & Process Manager you will establish a lean culture and bottom-up continuous improvement mindset within the department to achieve operational excellence and innovation. Finally, you will organize the daily work to manage all spare parts warehouses and any shortage situations.

What you need is:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Supply Chain; Master’s Degree is advantageous
• At least 3 years of experience in an engineering or supply chain role
• Understanding of complex logistics processes
• Proficiency in English – written and verbal, with strong interpersonal skills
• High level of motivation, customer focus, and a continuous improvement mentality required
• Strong computer literacy; ERP experience is preferred
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work with strict deadlines
• Willingness to work in operational and office environments
