Ensure quick patients access to GSK medications based on solid science/evidence via the development and implementation of Local Health Outcomes evidence strategies/plans for GSK products to support commercialization pre/post-launch, and through the life cycle in Gulf countries.
To lead the development of tailored market access strategies to inform the national reimbursement and launch of new products.
To lead and support the health outcomes team in the generation of high quality and timely reimbursement dossiers (rapid reviews and Health Technology Assessment dossiers) to support the reimbursement and launch of GSK brands for GSK Gulf.

Actively participate in negotiating reimbursement approval for launch medicines with key external stakeholder groups including the respective MoH.
To take the lead role in evaluating and managing the early pipeline products for GSK Gulf. To ensure the market access hurdles are identified early and that the size of the commercial opportunity is understood and communicated to senior leadership. Lead projects like patient pathway mapping that support early organizational understanding of opportunity and hurdles inherent in launching these pipeline assets.
Complexity:
- The position requires at least level 3 proficiency (“proficient”) as per the medical capability framework in the relevant area of specialty, communication skills and medical governance with at least level 3 (“proficient”) in value access and evidence generation capability. as well as preferred experience in the GCC countries.
- Comfortable working across boundaries in matrix organization across functions, geographies and cultures.
- Individual contributor with medium to high job complexity and a high level of autonomy & accountability

Qualifications, Knowledge & Skills:
- Medical Degree or Pharmacy/Science degree with Masters degree is preferred.
- At least 5 years previous working in the pharmaceutical/health sector, preferably medical affairs experience with a successful track record. Experience in the medical department within Pharmaceutical Industry or extensive comparable clinical experience in the relevant therapy area is a pre-requisite.
- Good understanding of the pricing and reimbursement system in Gulf countries.
- Strong communication skills, with high ability to effectively deliver messages & successfully establish relations with all internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience in the preparation & delivery of effective scientific presentations with good public speaking skills in front of the medical audience (speaking at formulary meetings, congresses;)
- Ability to understand and critically appraise clinical and economic evidence.
