Job Description

Role Summary / Goal:

Conduct inspections on GE Gas Turbine parts during repairs/refurbishment in the repair facility as well as materials purchased through vendors following GE standards and inspection guidelines

• Part identification
• Visual, Dimensional, NDT & Coatings Inspection
• Prepare customer reports
• Raise NCRs for nonconformities found during inspections

Responsibilities:

• Execution of quality inspections during receiving/in-coming, in-process and final stages of the components
• Performing Dimensional inspection using various measuring instruments
• Performing NDT Inspection (FPI & DPT)
• Carrying out coating inspection on coated parts
• Creation and maintain of quality records
• Preparation of customer reports using GE reporting tool
• Raising Non-Conformance Report (NCR) in system and ensuring the implementation of corrective actions
• Support engineering and quality team in implementation of process improvement
• Keeping the working environment and measuring/testing instruments and equipment’s in a clean and proper condition
• Following Environmental Health and Safety regulations, Quality requirement’s
• Ensuring safe use of the equipment’s and facilities
• Performing of inspection activities in assigned timeline

Qualification / Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or associate degree in engineering or relevant experience in quality control field
• Familiarity with NDT types and inspections
• Good knowledge of common IT office tools
• Ability to communicate in English (verbal and written)

Desired Qualifications:

• Previous experience in repair and/or industrial sector
• NDT Level II Certification in Liquid Penetrant Inspection
• Experience with inspection of Gas Turbine components, preferably GE products
• Sound knowledge on Welding, Grinding, Heat Treatment, Grit Blasting and Coating processes
