About the role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior FP&A Analyst to join the Middle East Finance team. The successful candidate will report to Finance Controller – Middle East, Africa & India. Primary responsibilities includes internal MIS reporting, budgeting & forecasting exercises. The role will be based at our office in Dubai, UAE.

Key responsibilities:

• Prepare periodic and ad hoc management information reports for the leadership team. Powerpoint and excel based reports to cover data such as income statement for countries and by segment with specific focus on utilization, margins, pricing etc.
• Daily monitoring of movement in Income Statement numbers during month end to identify unusual transactions on a timely basis. This involves constant interactions with the corporate accounting team and ensuring the quality of their postings are high or unusual transactions are well explained.
• Constant monitor of DSOs and enquiring from the segment team or the SMDs on the aged outstanding.
• Develop and maintain appropriate KPIs to perform variance analyses of the actual results in relation to the budgeted figures.
• Liaising very closely with finance colleagues and business leaders from across other offices of FTI and playing an active role in budgeting and forecasting for the region.
• Prepare recharge and allocation models for common costs across the various segments.
• Design and maintain dashboards using PowerBI for analysis and timely decision making.
• Maintain full control of the upload of data on to the budgeting software (TM1) to ensure budgets and forecasts for consolidation at corporate levels. Identify and raise any issues to the technical team for resolution.

Qualifications and experience

• Qualified chartered accountant or a Masters degree with specialization in Finance.
• Minimum of 5 years professional experience within finance and accounting
• Must possess excellent organisational, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
• Attention to detail is critical. Proactive attention to daily tasks and organization.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritise workload and effectively manage one’s time
• Must be dependable and able to take full responsibility for assigned tasks and ensure all assignments are completed in a timely manner
• Strong analytical and presentation skills
• Proven ability to work in a team environment and independently in a fast-paced and changing environment
• Advanced user of Microsoft Office suite of PowerPoint and excel are necessary.
• Advanced working experience of PowerBI is a must. Experience of using TM1 is considered an advantage.
• Experienced in the creation and automation of management reports
• Experienced in collection and consolidation of variance, trend and industry financial analysis
• Ability to assist with development of senior management presentations
