The role of AVP Operation Support (EIOPS) revolves around managing EI Central operation team to ensure providing essential business support services to all EI Branches/Business Units to facilitate smooth functioning that ensures work processing based on international experience in developing ‘Best Practice’ in Business Support functions.

The Operations Support unit is very crucial for functioning of the Central Operations Department and implementations of new process/systems in line with bank’s strategy and as per internal/regulatory guidelines.

Detailed Description:

The role holder is primarily responsible for managing EI Central operations teams of policies & procedures and vendor and cash management to deliver the day-to-day activities/work at the department. The person must ensure to run the unit at a high level of operational efficiency and controls in conformity to bank policies. The role holder will have to interface with internal or external stakeholders for the smooth running of the department and to implement service excellence standards, including managing subordinate staff/co-workers on policies and procedures.

The Job Holder will need to provide regular updates to GM operation and senior management about the ongoing initiatives and support them with new requirements related to EIOPS

As a unit head, the development of his team is a core requirement. The job-holder will make sure that the team is well trained on- and off the job in line with their development needs.

Job Requirements:

• Effectively manage overall Team activity & ensure all applications/ transactions are processed as per the department processes and guidelines
• Plan and deliver the unit’s services to agreed standards, quality and compliance requirements and budget limits.
• Guide and support activities of members in the team to achieve unit’s objectives.
• Manage the Policy & Procedure unit policies to ensure that subordinates adhere to internal operational policies and procedures in order to enhance service delivery.
• Manage vendor and cash management unit to ensure that the team is effectively managing outsourced partners to ensure successful delivery of business, Third Party Cash Management and Vendor Invoice Payments
• Ensure adherence to applicable policies and procedures to safeguard the Bank’s interests.
• Implement and maintain efficient processing procedures and control zero operational losses.
• Report of any discrepancies to senior Management.
• Resolve residual problems referred by subordinates and act as the point of policy and procedural reference for the unit to support the achievement of customer service performance levels and compliance requirements.
• Foster and contribute personally to the achievement of a flow of improvements to process and procedures in order to enhance productivity, operating efficiencies and cost-effectiveness.
• Lead, motivate and develop skills and competencies of team members in order to improve competency levels and flexibility within the team.

• Graduate/ Post Graduate
• 7 years+ Operations experience in a Bank, preferably in Cash Management Operations/Solutions
• Knowledge of Banking Operations including Teller transactions /ABM Roles & other Banking Operations is a must.
• Excellent interpersonal and team management skills
• Strong judgment and decision-making skills.
• Good analytical skills to analyze, interpret, resolve and improve productivity
• Ability to identify, analyze and manage operation risks
• Ambitious, hardworking, self-motivated and energetic individual.
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure
• Ability to work within a team and significant knowledge and expertise coupled with managerial experience in a similar environment.
