Overview Dyson MEA
Dyson has set a regional office for Middle East and Africa in Dubai, UAE. The Dubai office provides the vision and strategy for Dyson’s business in MEA, covering key markets such as UAE, Saudi Arabia, and growth/new markets such as South Africa. The Dyson MEA team is a dynamic and ambitious team that challenges convention every single day and pushes boundaries to help grow the Dyson business in MEA and help the markets that fall under its remit reach its full potential.

In this role based in our MEA Head office in Dubai you will be a member of the MEA Leadership Team, and of the Distributor & Emerging Markets (D&EM) Finance team, reporting to the Head of Finance D&EM who is based in Amsterdam. The team is responsible for FP&A and Commercial Business Partnering activities across two regions, namely Central & Emerging Europe Distributors (CEED) and Middle East & Africa (MEA). Your primary responsibility will be to business partner with the market team to deliver on our 5-year plan ambition, by providing insights to ensure optimal use of our financial resources. In addition, you will streamline and standardize processes and reporting in collaboration with the wider D&EM team, and drive the transformation agenda to realize business model evolution and geographical expansion across Africa & the Middle East. You will work closely with the Senior Finance Analyst D&EM based in Amsterdam, who is supporting the MEA team on cost controlling (Marketing & Overhead costs).
Key areas of responsibility include:
First class business support to deliver on objectives
Work closely with commercial business partners (MD, MEA LT and wider commercial team) to assure delivery of volume and Trading Profit commitment across all markets, and assure financial processes enable commercial success.
Partner with our distributors to hold them to account on delivering against the agreed targets.
Streamline D&EM Finance processes & develop fit for purpose reporting
Secure support from Dyson Business Services (DBS) on operational finance processes & reporting, and perform handover towards the DBS team.
Automate & harmonize Gross Margin forecasting across distributor markets. Lead in-the-month, Budget and LE forecasting processes.
Leverage ways of working from cluster finance teams in Amsterdam office, and tailor to Distributor markets.
Drive transformation agenda
Develop business cases for business model evolution (ie. new entities) in existing distributor markets and prepare business cases to enter new territories.
Support in updating the transformation roadmap for MEA for the next 5 years, in cooperation with the MDs and HoF
Support on Statutory tasks
Assist with Statutory audit and other statutory submissions
