The duties of a Junior Sales Officer are to achieve excellent customer service, while consistently assisting in meeting the store’s sales goals.
The responsibilities include:
1.Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service
2.Assess customers needs and provide assistance and information on product features
3.Follow and achieve department’s sales goals on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis
4.Go the extra mile to drive sales
5.Maintain in-stock and presentable condition assigned areas
6.Remain knowledgeable on products offered and discuss available options
7.Process POS (point of sale) purchases
8.Cross sell products
9. Handle returns of merchandise
10.Team up with co-workers to ensure proper customer service
11.Build productive trust relationships with customers
12. Comply with inventory control procedures
13. Suggest ways to improve sales (e.g. planning marketing activities, changing the store’s design)
