DP World Hiring for Senior Manager – Group Accounting & Reporting Job at Dubai Full Time

Job Purpose:

The Job holder is primarily responsible for preparing monthly, half yearly and annual accounts of DP World Group’s accounts. He is also responsible for the preparation of PFZ World’s Monthly, Half Yearly and Annual Financial statements and to support the external audit process.

The job holder will also carry out IFRS research as required to support the needs of the organization. This includes working with Corporate Finance, Business Development and Treasury on all restructuring and refinancing accounting matters at Corporate Office as well as with the Regions.

Key Accountabilities:

DPW/PFZW

• 1) Preparation of monthly IFRS reporting pack for DPW
• 2) Preparation of the half-year and annual consolidated financial statements for DPW and PFZW.
• 3) Provide the financial information on a need-basis to the Boards of PFZW and DW.
• 4) Support the external audit process in relation to the above.

Treasury/IR Related

• 1) Providing accounting advisory on various treasury transactions of hedge accounting, loan restructuring, bond accounting etc.
• 2) Assisting investor relations department for carrying out credit assessment for Group and addressing financial review queries of various financial institutions.

IFRS Technical Accounting

• 1) Performing IFRS impact assessments on new acquisitions/disposals/restructurings and other business transactions (such as IFRS 9, IFRS 10, IFRS 15 and IFRS 16) as required.
• 2) Updating Group Accounting policy manual adopting best accounting practices and ensuring its compliance across Group entities.
• 3) Assisting internal stakeholders for carrying out M&A deals from inception till conclusion. Involve in purchase price allocation exercise, rolling out Group reporting templates and monitoring actual performance against budgets and investment models.
• 4) Supporting in detailed impairment reviews of Group entities and performing WACC, EBITDA and capex analysis to support business rationale.
• 5) Directly responsible for preparation of monthly consolidated financial statements on IFRS basis. Responsible for various financial analysis for the Group.
• 6) Carry out Equity and Minority Interest holding percentage checks on a monthly basis for the entire Group
• 7) Dealing with multi currencies, non-controlling interest transactions, intra-group transaction and balances, and various corporate transactions as they arise.
• 8) Proactively investigate/manage transactions along with local, regional finance to ensure compliance with group policies, IFRS and audit requirements.

System Related

• 1) Assisting in implementation of Oracle Fusion and FCCS projects with an aim to re-engineer the reporting and data capturing processes.
• 2) Responsible for Oracle Fusion Ledger closing on a monthly basis
• 3) Oracle Fusion and FCCS support to the head office team, various locations and closely working with HO IT Team and FCCS consultants in Dubai.
• 4) Responsible for maintaining Global Chart of Accounts for the DPW Group.
• 5) Design and development of appropriate excel financial templates that link with FCCS ensuring all the correct required fields are included to gather data from business units.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills:

• Ability to work within strict timelines and under pressure.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting / Finance
• Chartered Accountant / Certified Public Accountant is a must
• At least 10 years of post-qualification experience in global/multinational organisation involving global consolidation of accounting function of a listed company.
• Prior experience in Big 4 auditing firm is a must.
• A self-starter with a professional attitude and a desire to take responsibility to see all tasks through to a satisfactory conclusion.
• Working knowledge of ERP Systems such as Oracle Fusion and FCCS is a must.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Up-to-date knowledge in International Financial Reporting Standards
