Job Description
Responsibilities:
Interpret electrical and mechanical drawings related to switchgear and busbar systems.
Fabricate and install busbars for power distribution in switchgear systems.
Expertly carry out control wiring tasks in line with specified schematics.
Test and commission switchgear systems to ensure their optimal performance and safety.
Diagnose faults in busbar and control wiring systems and make necessary repairs.
Coordinate with the design and engineering team to ensure specifications and standards are met.
Ensure adherence to safety protocols and standards while performing tasks.
Train junior technicians and provide guidance in busbar fabrication and control wiring techniques.
Collaborate with the project management team to ensure timely completion of tasks.
Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and materials to ensure availability and readiness for projects.
Qualifications:
Technical diploma or ITI in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in switchgear systems, specifically with expertise in busbar fabrication and control wiring.
Strong understanding of electrical principles and switchgear systems.
Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical drawings.
Hands-on experience with testing and diagnostic tools relevant to the field.
Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Good communication skills for coordinating with team members and other stakeholders.
Continuous learning mindset to keep abreast with the latest technologies and techniques in the field.
