What you’ll be doing

The Travel Retail Manager is primarily responsible for managing the assigned region/accounts BAs delivering a unique, specific and remarkable customer experience with our brands through best in class knowledge and service.

Budget & Targets

• Full sell-through budget responsibility in cooperation with the TR Middle East Commercial Director. Responsible for proposing and following budgets at BAs level.
• Gather team sales reports in target areas to ensure performance metrics are in line with commercial plans.
• Manage the reporting (sell-through KPIs) at BAs level.

Sales incentives

• Implement and track incentive programs in target accounts/clients to recruit, retain and drive BAs motivation and performance KPIs.

Strategy and retail excellence plan

• Propose to the TR General Manager a BA strategy in line with the TR retail excellence plan and develop an action plan to ensure the strategy is achieved and actions are implemented.

Brands activation

• Work closely with TR Marketing team for all briefings on upcoming promotions and brand launches/activation. Ensure seamless activation of in-store L’Occitane activity with BAs and ensure L’Occitane merchandising standards are met always

Education and capabilities development

• Work very closely with TR Middle East training executive to develop and implement a brand and sales capabilities training plan depending on skills gap and needs to have an in-depth knowledge of L’Occitane brands and launches to enhance the shopper experience and maximize sell through opportunities in target airports.
• Ensure that all BAs attend the new brands launches training interventions.

BAs staffing

• Is responsible for recruiting BAs supported by the TR HR Manager and Commercial Director
• Manage team visibility on the shop floor for optimal staffing and floor coverage

BAs effectiveness, motivation and retention

• Create and promote a positive work environment in line with customer and L’Occitane values, ensuring the L’Occitane Ethical code is embedded and followed at all time.
• Responsible for BA retention, development and motivation
• Review team sales productivity and performance on a regular basis and identify opportunities to improve BA effectiveness.
• Is responsible for building and promoting positive relationships between and with all the BA teams, L’Occitane TR team and the customers

Work very closely with the commercial and marketing team to deliver the above, seek their support, alignment and approval when needed

What you’ll need to succeed

• Experience in working in a similar role in a consumer-packaged goods industry and/or Travel Retail environment. Previous experience in Luxury beauty is an asset
• 4-5 Sales experience and strong commercial understanding
• University Degree in Business Administration or similar field
• Excellent communication skills
• Good negotiation skills
• Able to work independently but in a collaborative way
• Solution oriented approach
• Results orientated and high achiever
• Strong interpersonal skills with confidence in working in a multi-cultural environment
• Demonstrate a high level of competence in all sales skills and ideally be able to coach others in sales skills.
• Experience and ability to lead, develop and inspire a team with ability to engage and motivate
