Responsibilities

Management and Support

• Consult with Cafu’s management in order to foster and promote the engagement of Cafu’s core values at all levels of the company.
• Assist management in resolving employee relation issues, conducting effective investigations, and recommending action for sensitive and complex situations.
• Design, develop and implement programs to continuously engage and motivate staff to achieve business/functional objectives in conjunction with the Talent Management team.

Strategy

• Utilize appropriate diagnostic measures to determine the direction of the people management function in the business.
• Facilitate effective implementation of new people management initiatives in different departments and levels of the business as appropriate.
• Ensure that there is alignment between people management strategies and the existing business’s policies and procedures at Cafu, updating each as required.
• Develop and apply change to people management strategies, implementing a people cycle, and establishing recruitment and training programs.

Policies and Procedures

• Conduct research and consistently develop and enforce HR procedures and policies.
• Ensure adherence to all applicable policies, procedures/ regulations and statutory requirements
• Establishing the proper application of policies at all levels of the company
• Setting a foundation for organizational accountability during the decision-making process
• Aligning organization policies with legal requirements

Collaboration

• Collaborate with Cafu departmental heads and management in developing recruitment plans, identifying training needs, and advocating for continuous learning for employees where necessary.
• Partner with stakeholders and business partners in ensuring that the best practices are being adopted, ensuring the delivery of projects as required as well as ensuring that key deliverables are met within the specified timelines.

Requirements

• 8+ years’ experience in HR and a tech start-up environment is essential
• Professional qualification or certification within CIPD is an advantage
• An ability to balance competing requirements and perform under pressure
• Previous experience working in a product and tech environment is a must
• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business or any related subject
• Strong judgement, ethics and inter-personal skills with an ability to lead and grow and business and team
• Exceptional Communication Skills
