Job Description
The CFR Trade Marketing Specialist will be mainly create, develop, and implement trade marketing activities across BRF’s emerging markets in the MENA region.
- Develop marketing strategies with a key focus on distribution, in-store execution, promotional plan, and pricing
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (sales, marketing, finance, and S&OP) along with external stakeholders (distributors, agencies, and other relevant partners) in driving the trade marketing agenda for each market
- Work with distributors in creating omni-channel activations to further elevate the offline and online consumer journey
- Utilize Nielsen Market Share and Epos Data to support in developing trade marketing plans by market, channel, and region with the main goal of gaining share in priority categories
- Align with distributors in each market on the monthly plan throughout the year and define & monitor relevant KPIs (promotional depth, ROI, etc.)
- Introduce the category management framework to key markets and roll-out across top key accounts
- Guarantee trade marketing execution (BTL) is well implemented vs. the set guidelines
- Set and monitor fundamental TM KPIs: share of leaflets, share of shelf, price index, etc.
- Develop and create planogram guidelines by market, channel, and category
- Track and monitor the listing status of priority SKUs across the main markets in coordination with sales and distributor teams
- Liaise with brand team on the creation of marketing assets and improve brand presence across the trade
- Monitor trade marketing OPEX spend closely with finance team and distributors and propose saving initiatives
- Collaborate with marketing intelligence to explore conducting new research to further understand specific market dynamics
Desirable requirements
- Fluent in English / Arabic is a plus but not mandatory / Portuguese is a plus but not mandatory
- Minimum 4 years of sales, marketing, or trade marketing experience in the FMCG sector
- Experience developing and implementing marketing / trade marketing campaigns
- Middle East experience is a plus
- Experience working with distributors

- Commercial acumen (ability to understand business performance and connect the dots on a total business level)
- Operational strength (Ability to work the day-to-day operations)
- Analytical skills (P&L and market intelligence reports analytics)
- Strong interpersonal skills – ability to work cross-functionally smoothly and establish strong relationships with peers inside and outside of the organization
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects & timely delivery effectively
- Willingness to travel (30%)
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and Power Point.
