Beckman Coulter is currently looking for workflow and informatics Product Manager to join the Middle East and Africa product management team supporting our automation and informatics product portfolio. This role will focus on providing on-going support of the product portfolio including, customer demos & presentations, sales materials and training, materials management, business development in pre-sales cycle, new product introduction, forecasting, product marketing plan development.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Have a full understanding of the market and industry trends from current offering and products available to customer changing needs and requirements in laboratory automation and informatics.
Update the competitor landscape placements and market intelligence insights. Actively analyze the sales funnel and set priority on key accounts and maturing opportunity by communicating the necessary actions to sales managers and making sure the account plans are executed according to identified time frame.
Lead in the development of presentations and proposals to the TLA accounts and making sure business and technology solutions are well defined and aligned to client needs and Beckman coulter strategy in that market sector. Understand performance KPIs of targeted and existing accounts by analyzing customer needs and trends to drive new accounts acquisitions and improve retention rates.
Coordinate necessary resources to execute the account plans from Business manager; sales managers; account managers and service managers to make sure the projects are executed from pre-sales to post sales go live and delivered to customer within committed timelines.
Execute business reviews for active accounts in play and brief the sales team on the progress of TLA projects and tender. Update the forecast and communicate regularly to ensure products are available on order delivery.
Respond to functional and technical elements of RFIs, RFPs and RFQs by preparing complete part number list and required items.
Complete understanding of the new products introduced and solution sets and actively communicate to the WITS and sales team
Shape / champion new segments and directions by synthesizing & analyzing data to understand customer needs; evaluate potential new approaches to marketing the portfolio of WITS products and formulate recommendations based on known risks and rewards.
Assist regional sales team with closing system (automation/IT) sales in targeted market segments to meet annual revenue and unit placement goals.
Manage sales cycle by working with regional sales teams in the areas of: prospecting, account qualification, sales strategies, Automation & IT product presentations, demonstrations, evaluations, proposal information generation, justification and closing.
Provide on-market product support and guidance to the affiliates and other business units in terms of product segmentation, positioning and objection handling.
Coach and influence as the field point of contact for; distribution representatives, other potential co-marketing representatives and support representatives to qualify leads, advance sales process, justify system sales, implement, and maintain customer satisfaction to meet sales targets.
Complete administrative tasks such as expense reporting, monthly reports, territory and customer analysis, funnel analysis, forecasts, competitive intelligence, and annual planning
The essential requirements of the job include
Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) in medical technology, Biomedical, clinical diagnostics or life science. MBA preferred. MS/PhD a plus.
Product management experience in laboratory automation and informatics.
Experience with Lean methodologies, workflow consultancy, process improvement in laboratory environment
Incumbent must have excellent presentation skills, communication skills as well as analytical, project management & planning skills.
IVD market assessment, voice of customer research, sales tools/messaging and/or future trend analysis (payer, gov’t policy, clinical practice, etc.)
Cross-functional team leadership experience preferred.
Incumbent must have proven ability to see new business opportunities, set and meet aggressive objectives and develop strong working relationships across all levels of the organization, including proven influencing skills.
Experience with SFDC or CRM platform.
Flexible, curious and tenacious with a can do positive approach in a challenging business.
Self-starter, able to work independently – strong team player.
Perfect command of English, second language preferred (French).
Able to travel 40%, including international travel.
