Overview of the job:

To act on behalf of the Landlord as his representative to review MEP drawings, materials, program, as required for a project and oversee all electro-mechanical activities on site. In addition, produce MEP LODs, review MEP designs for tenant fit out works and ensure these are compliant with the Landlords specifications, design guidelines, lease requirements and all Government Authority regulations. To act on behalf of the Landlord as his representative to review MEP drawings, materials, program, as required for a project and oversee all electro-mechanical activities on site. In addition, produce MEP LODs, review MEP designs for tenant fit out works and ensure these are compliant with the Landlords specifications, design guidelines, lease requirements and all Government Authority regulations.

What you will do:

• Act as landlord representative in attending progress meetings, weekly site walk with consultant / contractor
• Review drawings or material submittals or any other site coordination issue, as may be required and advise client preference to the consultant
• Liaise with in-house team member, consultants and contractors on MEP projects to ensure clear understanding of MEP scope and to advise on progress with authority submissions, design and progress on site, to ensure all are in-line with the project programme
• Monitor construction activity on site to ensure contractor is on track for project completion. Monitor contractor complies to the design and other standard requirements.
• Ensure tenant MEP LOD reflects accurate data on landlord provisions and site conditions. Process monitor and drive change control requests to allocated units to EI’s and ensure changes as highlighted are being made on site – both landlord base build provisions and LVR changes.
• Verify site conditions and MEP provisions prior to unit handover as per the pre approved lease conditions and MEP LOD. Ensure tenant has complied and provided all required certification / documentation prior to opening.
• Review tenant MEP design and if required meet with the contractor / consultant to ensure compliance to Authority as well as landlord requirements.

What equips you for the role:

Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge:

Engineering Degree or equivalent level of education in mechanical / electrical discipline is mandatory.

Minimum Experience:

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the MEP Construction industry with emphasis on a design background ideally gained within MEP consultancy field. Sound knowledge of MEP building standards, local authority regulations DEWA/Dubai civil Defence and Retail Tenancy fit out procedures.
