Overview of the role
We are currently looking for an experienced General Technician to join our Al Futtaim Aftersales Team in Dubai. As a Technician your main role is to effectively conduct first-time express and scheduled maintenance based on repair order instructions for all makes and all model vehicles, thereby providing complete customer satisfaction with due regard to relevant quality and safety standards

What you will do

• Complete all scheduled and periodic maintenance within the manufactures protocols. Carry out basic diagnosis, checks and inspection to all makes and all models passenger cars
• All scheduled and periodic maintenance work to be completed within the final quoted price
• Plan and carries out the necessary work within the workshop using standard tools and instruments and with perceived allotted time frames
• Make cost effective use of materials and available timeframe in order to maintain the highest productivity levels that are aligned with operational KPI’s
• Jobs to be completed within the final quoted price

Required skills to be successful

• Diploma or Degree in Technical school or Diploma in Automobile or ITI Mechanic
• 2 years’ experience in reputable Tyre Workshop or Automotive Dealerships as a Tyre Mechanic or Auto Mechanic.
• Perform tyre and battery services, alignments, regular maintenance, minor repairs and diagnosis on mechanical repairs i.e. under chassis, electrical, air conditioning.
• Able to read, understand, speak and write English well enough to follow mandated trainings and standard instructions.

About the team
The role will report to the Service Manager and you will be working in a busy workshop environment wherein you will be dealing directly with Workshop Supervisor, Service Advisor, Controller, Foreman & co-Technicians in a daily basis.

What equips you for the role

• Possess a Diploma or Degree in Technical school or Diploma in Automobile or ITI Mechanic
• 2 years’ experience in reputable Tyre Workshop or Automotive Dealerships as a Tyre Mechanic or Auto Mechanic
• Ability to perform tyre and battery services, alignments, minor repairs and diagnosis on mechanical repairs i.e. under chassis, electrical, air conditioning
• Able to read, understand, speak and write English well enough to follow mandated trainings and standard instructions.
