NVOCC stands for Non-Vessel Owning Common Carrier. NVOCC operation comprises sales, stuffing, and transport of the containers to gateway ports. The NVOCC performs all the functions of a carrier like – issuing bills of lading, publishing tariffs, except providing actual ocean or intermodal transportation.
Job Responsibilities:
– Identify potential customers and set approach strategies.
– Prospect and develop new client relationships within a defined geography or market.
– Negotiate and quote customers in a timely manner.
– Make sales calls, send emails, or place phone calls or text messages to solicit business as well as follow up with customer inquiries.
– Sell and pitch to new and prospective clients.
– Build strong customer relationships.
Job Requirements:
– Proven experience working in UAE registered global NVOCC container shipping and airfreight in-house carriers, open and bonding warehousing services.
– Ability to sell company’s rates and generate the nomination shipment out of overseas origin for arrival at the UAE main sea ports such as Jebel Ali.
– Should be able to achieve weekly, fortnightly, and monthly targets for selling our client’s worldwide (overseas) partners sea and air freight rates and freighting capabilities into the UAE.
