Technical & Design Promotion Specialist

You will be working as Technical & Design Promotion Specialist and will be the part of Electrification Business Area for Smart Power division based in Dubai, UAE. In this role you will be planning and implementing proactive promotional activities for the assigned target audience (consultants, design institutes, engineering/architect offices, authorities etc.) to create the market demand and need for the features/products and solutions. Building long term customer relationships, identifying and developing sales opportunities by introducing, presenting and educating the target audience about ABB products and solutions.

Your responsibilities

• Implementing proactive promotional activities for the customer target group, including technical presentations, demonstrations, seminars and education material
• Establishing and maintaining effective long-term relationships with target group customers to under-stand their current and future needs and ensuring the customer has a good understanding of the full ABB product/systems/solutions /services offering, features and benefits
• Ensuring a positive experience for the customer target group throughout the promotion activities, pre-paring plans for visits and performing regular status reviews, including the analysis and output of the target audience visits.
• Supporting in the dedicated area the deployment of KPI’s and monitoring the sales performance, e.g. productivity, channels, sectors and ensuring efficient marketing activities and strong value proposition to customers by using effective promotional techniques, solution marketing.
• Communicating details in accordance with ABB offering and strategy, managing and driving education of the target audience by conducting and organizing appropriate training interventions, seminars and workshops
• Creating a vision of a loyal, committed, long-term customer relationship and implementing the necessary action plan and steps to reach the vision
• Ensuring cross-collaboration and continuously developing own and team members’ technical, commercial, design and behavioral competences and know-how.

Your background

• Bachelor of electrical or electronic engineering with at least 5 years of experience in building automa-tion segment.
• Good technical and commercial knowledge of home and building automation products and solutions and applications. Good command on solution preparation and selling.
• Good knowledge of different communication protocols ( e.g. Modbus, Profibus, BACnet etc) systems, KNX based system and related software as used in Home and building automation. Familiar with IOT based systems, cloud based systems.
• Knowledge of “Salesforce” and KNX Certified professional will be added advantage
• Have good understanding of LV Switchgear, Wiring accessories, Lighting control system, Access control system, Guest room management system, security system, Energy management system, Emergency lighting system, Central battery system, Building management systems etc.
• Fluency in English and Arabic language is mandatory.
