Position Description

The Accounts Assistant will support both accounts receivable and account payable, as well as assisting to maintain student records in finance management system. The position also provides support in fees collection and assists students on financial matters concerning their tuition fees, accommodation and other charges.

Key areas of responsibility include but are not limited to the following:

• Assisting with the accounts receivable processes
• Provide support to Accounts Receivable Officer in Fees Revenue Management and Control
• Providing consistent advice to students on financial issues, tuition fees, accommodation and other charges.
• Pro-actively aiding other members of the Finance team as needed during the busy periods of each month.

Education and Experience

Essential:

• Bachelor Degree or equivalent working experience
• 2+ years working in accounts experience in a large / complex organisation

Desirable

• Experience in the education sector in the UAE

Knowledge and Skills

Essential

• Thorough knowledge of Accounting principles;
• Problem solving skills and customer relations skills;
• Ability to use initiative, work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously;
• Computer proficiency including Word and Excel;
• Organizational skills and ability to prioritize;
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English;
• Flexibility regarding working hours.

Desirable

• Knowledge and experience in using Oracle.
