We are looking for an Assistant Manager with strong knowledge in the E-Commerce industry or retail. Candidate with minimum 4 to 6 years of proven experience in Ecommerce industry along with Logistics handling.

Duties and Responsibilities.

• Ensuring company policies are followed.

• Optimising profits by controlling costs.

• Hiring, training and developing new employees.Interviewing and recruiting new employees

• Resolving customer issues to their overall satisfaction.

• Maintaining an overall management style that follows company best practices.

• Providing leadership and direction to all employees.

• Ensuring product quality and availability.

• Preparing and presenting employee reviews.

• Working closely with the store manager to lead staff.

• Overseeing retail inventory.

• Assisting customers whenever necessary.

• Organising employee schedules.

• Ensuring that health, safety, and security rules are followed.

• Taking disciplinary action when necessary.

• Ensuring a consistent standard of customer service.

• Motivating employees and ensuring a focus on the mission.

• Maintaining merchandise and a visual plan.

• Maintaining stores to standards, including stocking and cleaning.

• Completing tasks assigned by the general manager accurately and efficiently.

• Supporting the store manager as needed.

• Assisting the general manager in organising, planning and implementing strategy

• Delegating tasks to employees

• Supervising, leading and motivating employees

• Helping with monitoring and tracking operating costs, budgets and resources

• Creating reports, analysing, interpreting and presenting data

• Supporting the general manager as needed

• Oversee day-to-day operations and work of lower-level staff

• Create and deliver sales and financial reports on a predetermined schedule

• Develop strategies for better workplace efficiency and goal achievement.

• Fill in for General Manager (GM) in times of absence. Make executive decisions, hold meetings and provide accountability.

• Create reports, analyse and interpret retail data, like revenues, expenses and competition

• Track the progress of weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual objectives

• Handle complaints from customers

• Research emerging products and use information to update the store’s merchandise

Requirement:

bachelor’s Degree in business administration or similar field

Proven experience as a Assistant Manager or similar position

Experience with recruiting and performance evaluation processes

Familiarity with financial and customer service principles

Good maths skills with the ability to create and analyse reports, spreadsheets and sales statistics

Proficient user of MS Office (MS Excel in particular)

Leadership and organisational abilities
